Small Mexican sit down restaurant in Gila Bend. I stopped here for lunch on the way to Phoenix from San Diego. Fast excellent service, she checked on me several times. Good salsa and chips. I had the pork verde. It was very good, meatly and a nice, subtle spice. The beans and rice were excellent as well. All for a very reasonable price. Note on my ratings: 2-3 stars, average quality, service and value, acceptable, but you could do better. 4 stars, above average quality, service and/or ambiance. 5 stars is reserved for exceptional quality, service and atmosphere.

Great food, great service. Stopped in aroubd 1830 on our way back from to the Valley. Placed our order (2 combination plates, drinks and a tamale) and it was in front of us within 10 minutes of when we sat down. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Restaurant was clean and well laid out. We will definitely be stopping by here for meals on future trips.

We were traveling through the area and saw good reviews for this restaurant. I had the chilaquiles which was very good, I loved the sauce. Hubby said his juevos rancheros were ok. The staff were very friendly and took good care of us and other customers too.

Sofias is an absolute stop and grab something to eat authentic Mexican food while traveling through Gila Bend! Everything is prepared fresh and the ladies running the place offer absolutely amazing service and genuine conversation to assure that all their customers needs are made while visiting. Great place, great experience, I will always stop at Sofias and grab a plate of deliciousness while passing through on my travels. Our first time at this restaurant. The server and service were very good. The food tasted amazing, and came out piping hot. The portions were large. We will visit again!

Amazing hole in the wall place which is just the kind of places i love to support. Had the most amazing authentic mexican food, i would eat here everyday if i lived here. Wonderful food and service.

A Small Restaurant that you MUST Try when in this part of Arizona!!! A family owned Cafe where the Selection of Mexican Food is Excellent and the Service is a Truly at a 'Role Model" Level!

Absolutely delicious! Pulled over on 85 for lunch, it was so so good. Enchiladas and burritos were great. We ordered the beef/chicken enchilada combo and a California burrito. Insanely tender. Also the horchata was nice and refreshing. I’ll definitely be back when passing through Gila Bend again :)
